I hope that everyone is enjoying their weekend. I can't believe that the month is over. Here are some quick updates:
-Every month, each 5th grade class will select a "star student of the month". Be sure to check out the "Star student badge" located at the bottom of my home page announcing the winner of the month. Congrats to John K. this month! Way to go!
-Literacy block began and is running smoothly.
-Students have been doing an EXCELLENT job with their class transitions.
-We have completed our SIMS writing strategy review in Writing, and are currently working through our Writing program and have been involved in the Immersion stage of our Writing in class.
- Students did amazing on their first Social Studies Quiz- keep up the great work!
-Our first Science Quiz is scheduled for Friday, 10/7 (students were given the vocabulary for that quiz in class).
- I will be updating my website when I can. Here are some important new items:
- New tabs have been added for Science & SS QUIZLET Reviews (they can be found under the SCI/SS tab on the main menu bar).
-Under the SCI tab, I have added student access to the Science Fusion workbook. You will find instructions there. I will be showing this to the students next week. Please be patient if you can not log on yet and feel free to email me if you are having difficulty.
-EXTRA HELP information is located under the "calendar tab".
-I will be updating the calendar shortly and will do my best to put important events on there. Please also refer to the district calendar and your child's planner for additional events.
-Homeroom class: My Class Rewards Store is officially open! Students in my homeroom class will be able to shop with their earned classroom bucks this Friday 10/7.
We have been having a ton of fun and are looking forward to what October has to bring us!!
